The Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) supports the inclusion all non-experimental infertility treatments as covered benefits in public private health insurance plans. Infertility is a disease reproductive system, treatment should not be considered elective. All women who require gonadotoxic therapies to treat medical conditions such cancer offered option cryopreserve embryos through vitro fertilization or eggs ovulation induction egg retrieval.
